Thank you for your question. There is no market as such for ancillary services in India. There is no concept of reserves with capacity payment as such. Also, the frequency regulation is managed through frequency linked Unscheduled Interchange (UI) pricing. However, main thrust of frequency linked UI pricing is on tightening the frequency excusrion band rather than providing opportunity for marketers. As for reactive power, the utility penalises for power factor beyond certain band. Again, in this case, there is no market as such.
